Historical Gift Values

Historical Gift Values lets you produce a report that displays the FASB liability amounts or market values assigned to the gifts you select as of one or two specific valuation dates. It can also create a file suitable for uploading this information to general ledger software.

Historical FASB/Market Values report variations

FASB Values by Date: For each gift selected, this report displays the gift's FASB liability that has the valuation date you specify. You can use this report to present the FASB liabilities that were computed for a group of gifts as of a particular past valuation date.
FASB Values for Two Dates with Differential: For each gift selected, this report displays the gift's FASB liability on each of two different valuation dates you specify and the difference between them. You can use this report to present the FASB liabilities that were computed for a group of gifts as of the first and last day of a fiscal year and the change in their liabilities over that period of time. This information is very helpful when preparing a charity annual financial statement.
FASB File for Upload to GL: This file contains information that is suitable for uploading FASB values to general ledger software. This file can be saved in comma and quotes text format (.csv) or fixed-length text format (.sdf).
Market Values by Date: For each gift selected, this report displays the market value that has the valuation date you specify. You can use this report to review the market values of a group of gifts as of a particular past valuation date.
Market Values for Two Dates with Differential: For each gift selected, this report displays the gift's market value on each of two different valuation dates you specify and the difference between them. You can use this report, for example, to present the market values that were computed for a group of gifts as of the first and last day of a calendar year and the change in their value over that period of time.

1. Click Analysis > Historical Gift Values in the Menu Bar.

2. Click the type of report you wish to produce, and then enter selection and sorting criteria for the data you wish to include in it. There is help available on each field.

3. Click OK to view the report.
